Support

Mencap's support services are about helping people with a learning disability to live their life, make choices and be happy.

Whether it's help with medication, managing money, going to the supermarket or getting out for an evening to meet friends, we can arrange support any time or day of the week.

There is no typical support service because we recognise that everyone is an individual and that their needs will be different to the next person. We are able to provide support in a flexible way, from just a couple of hours each week to significant amounts of support each day.

Brokerage

Brokerage is about providing independent guidance and help in the process of identifying, securing and managing services.

Family support service

Our family support service provides flexible support to adults and children with a learning disability, their families and carers.

Specialist care 

Our specialist care offers an ideal service for people with more complex needs. 

Adult Shared Care

Shared care is a community respite scheme for people with a learning disability and their carers in Essex.

Mencap Carers Network

The Mencap Carers Network provides support to family carers of an adult with a learning disability.

Mencap Trust Company Limited
